Today, Rhonda noticed the birds in her birdhouse were pretty upset.
There's another birdhouse below it that isn't yet mounted on a pole. She poked around in it and found that a snake had taken up residence.
After the snake thought it was free, it headed back towards the flowerbed.
Rhonda didn't want it in the flower bed, so she picked it up to throw it in the vacant lot next door. Unfortunately for the snake, she was a little nervous and chunked it against an oak tree. The snake seemed a little stunned, but ok.
Update: Curt Summerlin says it's a grey rat snake. I looked it up and they feed on birds and bird eggs. Those birds had a right to be upset.
