Flagstone Patio

I took off today, assuming I needed to prepare for the sod to be delivered Friday. However, Rhonda had that under control. She tilled the area, then tied 90 lbs from my free weights behind the lawn mower and dragged them around to smooth the dirt.

About 3:00, I got the idea that we should use the flagstone we already have to build a patio in the natural area. We had kicked around pouring a concrete pad or laying brick pavers, but the flagstone is already here and available. I excavated the dirt, the RC began laying the stones. She leveled each stone as she placed it, so it can't get off too far. 3:00 was a little late to be starting...shown below is the progress by dark.
